Dr. John Blangero, PhD is a co-founder of 4TellX and leader of the 4TellX data analytics and predictive models. As a pioneer in the world of predictive analytics and data models, John is a human geneticist currently ranked in the top 3000 researchers in history with over 51,000 scholarly citations. His research has been highly funded by the National Institutes of Health where he is reported to have obtained more than $64 million dollars in direct funding for genetic studies of common diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and psychiatric diseases. He is the Director of the Genomics Computing Center at the South Texas Diabetes and Obesity Institute, and also serves as Director of the San Antonio Family Heart Study initiative where he guided the construction of an 11,000-processor computer cluster MEDUSA, which is currently used for genetic research at the University of Texas RGV medical school. John is also an accomplished musician touring with groups across the United States and Italy.
